The tilt mechanism works!

Although it took about six weeks to design, build, and install the tilt mechanism it was definatly
worth the extra effort. Activated by a switch on the dash, a 12 volt linear actuator extends
and retracts the entire assembly. Each cycle takes about 12 seconds.

A note here.
Steel front ends on fat fendered cars can be heavy. I used an actuator with a worm gear drive
and 600 lbs. of force. Do not use an acme drive actuator for heavy duty work. The belt drive
will not hold up under this heavy a load.
